Reduce thickness:

Blends and Synthetics tend to be thick, use shearing scissors to reduce thickness and this will minimize tangling. Always use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush, start from the ends and work your way up to avoid breakage. Lastly minimize friction to prevent tangling. 

 

Washing Routine:

Use lukewarm water, a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and gently lather. Do not rub or twist the hair. Rinse thoroughly and apply a light conditioner that is safe for both human and synthetic hair. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing.

Drying Tips:

Gently press out extra water after washing and let the hair air dry on a wig stand or hang it naturally. Avoid towel rubbing (If you must use a hairdryer, set it to cool or low heat only).

Heat Styling:

Only use heat tools below 180 degrees Celsius. (Side note: Limit heat styling to preserve the integrity of the fibers) only use heat if the hair blend is heat safe.

Product Usage:

Avoid heavy oils and greasy products as they can weigh down synthetic & blend fibers. Use lightweight serums or leave-in conditioners formulated for synthetic or blended hair.

Avoid coloring, bleaching, or using strong chemicals like relaxers or perms, as these can damage both blends and synthetic hair fibers.

Storage:

Store on a wig stand or in a silk/satin bag when not in use to maintain shape and reduce tangling.
